Echo, the nymph

Zeus/Jupiter has had many affairs, to the jealousy of Hera/Juno, her wife. Echo was a nymph who tried to distract her from searching for Zeus and his lover, and was talking to her incessantly. When the goddess realized, she was angry and made her repeat the words of others for eternity, without her being able of speech.

Echo, the nymph.

Some time after, she fell in love with Narcissus, but he was in love with himself and died while looking at his own reflection. Her love for him made her fade away and there was her voice left.
